This session is geared towards Title I School administrators to gain a better understanding of how to create and implement a School-Level Parent and Family Engagement Plan that aligns with school goals and community needs. The School-Level Parent and Family Engagement Plan is created to enhance meaningful engagement, by building access and advocacy to build parents’ and families’ capacity for school and community engagement, in support of measurable improvement in student achievement. During this session, participants will recognize and address barriers to family engagement, identify effective family engagement activities, explore the coordination and integration with other federal programs, and identify meaningful professional learning opportunities to build capacity of all stakeholders around parent and family engagement.
