Leanne is a product of the M-DCPS system, graduating from the IB program at Coral Gables SHS. She then studied elementary education, receiving a B.A. and M.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Leanne returned to Miami in 2005 and began her teaching career. She worked for 3 M-DCPS schools as an elementary educator, as an ETO math coach, and as a general education teacher and gifted teacher. She earned her National Board Certification in 2009 and completed 16 years as teacher for the M-DCPS system in 2021. She then changed roles, while staying in the education field. She works closely with M-DCPS schools and teachers as an Education Consultant with Promethean. She loves the fact that she gets to continue to support M-DCPS and is still teaching and coaching adults.
