Ms. Corina Putt, a tenured employee of the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department (MDSPD), currently holds the position of Executive Director at the department. Ms. Putt's role involves reporting directly to the Chief of Police and spearheading the implementation and oversight of district-wide policies and procedures that ensure compliance with school safety laws and best practices. Ms. Putt's academic and professional background in criminal justice, family studies, and sociology research enables her to adopt a distinct and comprehensive approach towards school policing.

In addition to her role at MDSPD, Ms. Putt contributes to state-wide school safety initiatives, collaborating with the Florida Association of School Safety Specialists, where Corina Putt serves as the President, to advance best practices and policies.

Prior to her employment with the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, Ms. Putt served as a research associate in South Florida, where she studied gang and gun violence, collective efficacy in neighborhoods, and played an instrumental role in establishing Florida's first Children of Inmates program. Ms. Putt earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, where she double majored in Criminal Justice and Family Studies from the University of Maryland.
