Sherrae Dixon is a proud member of the Miami LEARNS Professional Development Team. She has learned so much from the many different roles held throughout my career with Miami Dade County Public Schools. The experiences as a Teacher, Reading Coach, PD Liaison, Teacher Mentor, and leadership team member, along with the various PD opportunities over the last 30 years, have filled her knowledge bank with the tools needed to enrich this professional development support team fully.

She is a dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of students and teachers. She believes that to lead, you must first be able to follow effectively. Everyone on a team is of value, so all voices are assets to the development and success of the team's goal. It is important for a leader to have impeccable listening skills, empathy, and compassion in order to be capable of communicating effectively.
