Mrs. Stephen, a passionate Miami-Dade County Public Schools educator of seventeen years, believes that anything is possible when one believes in oneself and one's abilities. She strives to be a conduit of empowerment for students and fellow teachers. Currently, she serves as a Curriculum Support Specialist for the Teachers CHOICE initiative within the Office of Professional Learning and Career Development. She recognizes that her longevity within the education field can be attributed to the selfless mentorship received throughout her years in M-DCPS from phenomenal teachers and educational leaders from all around the district. Throughout her career, she has made several attempts to "pay it forward" by mentoring new and incoming teachers along her path. Since 2016, she has aligned her passion for mentorship with the vision of M-DCPS to provide strong mentorship opportunities for new and incoming teachers. She believes that strong mentorship programs will ensure the preservation of our student's education quality. Currently, she serves as the lead facilitator of the Clinical Supervision: Coaching and Mentoring for Pre-Service Teachers and Support Personnel course, where she empowers others who share her passion and drive to mentor new teachers with the tools and strategies that will lead to them making a positive and lasting impact on the next generation of educators.
