Javonne Aponte currently serves as a FACE Specialist with Scholastic Inc. In this role, she supports districts and schools throughout the nation with implementing and enhancing family engagement best practices. Her career in education spans 26 years, during which time she�s served in various capacities such as: classroom teacher, Media Resource Teacher, District Title I Compliance Specialist, Project Manager for 21st Century Community Learning Centers, District Administrator for Teacher Incentive Fund � STEM, and district Senior Administrator for Parent and Family Engagement in Orange County Public Schools, FL. Javonne believes that families are essential to the educational process. They hold valuable knowledge about their children that supports schools to help all students reach their greatest potential.
