Stine Jean-Patterson learned from an early age that education is a "key" to success. At the age of five, she and her family migrated to the United States from Haiti. There after she excelled in community engagement and academic excellence. After her undergraduate experience, she served as a City Year AmeriCorps Member as a Math Corp member, Math Coordinator, and ESOL Coordinator. As she continues to serve in different educational capacities, she is reminded of the great mathematician, Benjamin Banneker with this quote; "The color of the skin is in no way connected with the strength of the mind or intellectual powers."
