This module will familiarize newly hired Principals with multiple components of human resources inclusive of hiring best practices, certification, finger printing, recruitment, etc. Principals will actively participate in interactive roundtable discussions. During roundtables, each department will facilitate hands-on activities and simulations to demonstrate how their work aligns with the vison and mission of Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Additionally, participants will be exposed to a variety of data to make informed hiring decisions, so they are equipped with strategies to hire and retain the most qualified applicants. Follow-up sessions will be provided during Principal Induction Academy meetings to address additional concerns and recent trends occurring in the field.
