Mr. Robert C. Brazofsky serves as the Executive Director for the Department of Social Sciences in Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), the nation's 3rd largest public school district. Mr. Brazofsky has 28 years of experience in public education, 11 of which were in the classroom and 17 in the area of curriculum and professional development in the District. Mr. Brazofsky holds a bachelor's degree in education from Bowling Green State University of Ohio, a master's degree from the University of Miami, Florida in English Language Learners, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. He wants his legacy as an educational leader to be able to return public school�s Civic mission to prominence and feels wholeheartedly that the skills needed to practice active citizenship must be practiced throughout one�s educational experience. Robert is fluent in both English and Spanish and learned Spanish while teaching abroad in Colombia during the early years of his career and understands the importance of and has personally lived the benefit of learning another language. He is an avid traveler and prides himself on being an educational leader that shapes his department�s work with student success and teacher support in mind.
