With over 35 years of experience with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Helen Pina began as an elementary school teacher.  After over a decade of teaching students, grades 1-6, Ms. Pina transitioned to the district serving in different administrative roles.  For the past 16 years, she has been an administrator in the Office of Professional Standards (OPS) where she guides educational leaders with her expertise in the area of personnel and ethics in the workplace. OPS strives to maintain and promote ethical performance standards focusing on Excellence, Integrity, and Equity.
