Magda Pereira is a seasoned educational leader with an impressive 27-year journey within Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). Currently serving as the Administrative Director for the Office of School Choice and Parental Options, Magda's impact has been transformative, marked by her visionary leadership and commitment to equity and inclusivity. During her tenure as Administrative Director, Magda orchestrated a groundbreaking grant proposal, securing a $15 million award from the U.S. Department of Education's Magnet Schools Assistance Program. This visionary initiative, known as the STArts2 program, addresses inclusivity for students with disabilities in Magnet programs, fostering academic excellence for all.

Under Magda's guidance, M-DCPS has also become the most decorated Magnet district nationally, receiving 617 Merit Awards of Excellence or Distinction from Magnet Schools of America over 12 years.
