Teachers CHOICE: Supporting Personalized Professional Learning
Description

This session will focus on supporting Teachers and Support Professionals in their own professional learning and growth. Research principles regarding autonomy and teacher efficacy will be explored, and participants will examine scenarios where personalized professional learning is encouraged as well as those where it is discouraged. Participants will have an opportunity to share their own stories, while also connecting their experiences with the research and applying those connections in their own professional contexts. The session will partner work, small group discussion, and collaborative presentations. Participants will leave with at least one immediate way and one long term goal related to how they will support colleagues in their professional context.
