With over 29 years of experience in education and public administration, Dr. Wimberly has held a range of positions throughout her career, including teacher, reading coach, curriculum support specialist, instructional supervisor, and program administrator. Currently, Dr. Wimberly serves as Executive Director at Miami-Dade County Public Schools in the Office of Professional Learning and Career Development, where she leads multiple district-wide professional learning initiatives.
Dr. Wimberly is dedicated to promoting collaboration, collective efficacy, teacher work engagement, and teacher capacity. She earned a Doctoral Degree in Leadership and Innovation from St. Thomas University, which has provided her with the expertise and abilities required to thrive in her profession. Her dissertation, which focused on the Influence of Group Dynamics on Teacher Work Engagement, has been pivotal in shaping her perspective.
