Marcine brings over 30 years of educational expertise to the M-DCPS District Office of Professional Learning and Career Development. With a passion for nurturing educators and a deep understanding of the classroom experience, she serves as a critical support system for our teachers. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from South Carolina State University in Business Administration & Management and a master�s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Elementary Education and is ESOL and Reading Endorsed grades K-12.
Marcine's journey began in the heart of the classroom, where she donned many hats � from a multi-subject teacher in grades 1-8 to a champion for At-Risk students. Her dedication to literacy led her to specialize in ELA Reading, a passion that continues to ignite her to this day.
Marcine's leadership extends beyond the classroom walls. She has served as a Math Curriculum Leader, Math Tutorial Program Leader, and iHEAT Peer Reviewer. In her current role, she mentors teacher leaders. As a District Curriculum Support Specialist for Administrators and Professional Learning Support Team (PLST) Lead Mentors, Marcine empowers leaders across the North, Central, and South regions to equip new teachers with the tools they need to thrive. She facilitates high-quality professional learning opportunities that translate into enhanced student learning and achievement.
Marcine is more than a curriculum specialist; she is a trusted advisor, a problem-solver, and a coach. Her philosophy is that anyone can plant a seed, but it takes a special teacher to make it grow. With unwavering dedication, she serves as a lifeline for educators, fostering their growth and ensuring student success.
